Story
Many charities on our doorstep are in urgent need of financial support. The devastating effects of Covid-19 have affected many zoos across the world. We would like to help Cotswold Wildlife Park to remain open and to survive this crisis.
George, Will and I have grown up together and we are due to finish primary school, Year 6 (age 11), in just a few weeks. We believe that we can make a small difference in helping this charity. For many years, this zoo has amazed and inspired us. It has provided us with wonderful, memorable days and experiences. Myself and Will were meant to become junior zookeepers at Cotswold Wildlife Park June 2020 on Father’s day, it has always been our ambition to work and help animals. But due to the devastating effects of COVID-19 many things have had to be cancelled.
We have always been inspired by Sir David Attenborough and we enjoy spending time with nature, especially since COVID happened. Joe Wicks also inspired and motivated us to keep positive and active as best as we can. Being in lockdown has taught us how incredible a community can work together. We have been amazed with the generosity our neighbours, friends and family have shown during these tough times and now we want to show how we can help. Therefore, on Saturday 4th July we will be walking a half marathon across our countryside and enjoying the wildlife on our doorstep.
