Story

Earlier this year, our dear friends Howard and Katie, received the news that their 12 year old daughter had been diagnosed with a brain tumour, every parent’s worst nightmare. Since then Evie has undergone brain surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and set off on a two year programme of immunotherapy. We were blown away to receive the news that Evie’s latest scan showed incredible progress - in mum Katie’s words... “It was clear…...no sign of that shit inside her head, the radio, chemo, immunotherapy and concoction of incredible natural medicine is working….it’s actually worked”.

Evie has been so determined, positive and has had such a mature, fearless approach to tackling her challenge, that she inspired us to take on our own mission and set ourselves the target of raising £100k for King’s College Hospital, who provided incredible support to the Dove family.

To date we have raised an amazing £22k.........we swam a Channel over 16.5 miles of ocean from Jersey to France, completed an Ironman covering 140.6 miles around Nottingham, and most recently a team of 11 Holiday Extras colleagues walked a combined 187 miles on the Great Hospital Hike.

Next up, in early October, Louise and James will be running the 26 mile virtual London marathon around our local town of Hythe, Kent. Go guys!  You've got this....

A big thank you to everyone that is getting involved whether you are doing, or helping organise one of the events, or donating, you are all playing your part, and every single £ really does mean so much to all of us.
