My 50th Birthday is looming up and to mark this event I am leaving on Saturday 26th November to take part in an all women charity cycle challenge. I will be cycling 250miles from Ho Chi Minh City(Saigon) in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia to raise funds for the Genesis Research Trust charity, based at the Hammersmith Hospital ,called 'Women for Women.' The funds I raise, along with the other women in my group ,will go to support medical research into conditions that affect women and their babies e.g ovarian and other gynaecological cancers, pre-eclampsia, recurrent miscarriage ,premature birth and genetic diseases such as cystic fibrosis and muscular dystrophy. I am cycling with 4 friends and we are all hoping to raise at least £1,600 to support this research .

The conditions will be very different from November in Oxfordshire - so yes I will be shedding the jacket and socks!
