Story

Dear Friends,

2012 was an unimaginable year for our friends Nick and Ashleigh when they lost their beautiful son, Noah, on 25 January 2012, shortly after his second birthday and three weeks before the birth of Daisy. Following his death they received confirmation that Noah had a rare condition called mitochondrial disease which caused his heart to fail.  Ashleigh and Nick are still awaiting news, as to whether Daisy will be affected.

To date, Nick and Ashleigh, along with their family and friends have raised an overwhelming £15,000 for CLIMB. Now in 2013 we hope to continue to raise awareness and funding for a wonderful charity in Noah’s memory.

Stuart and I will be taking part in 3 Challenges this year. On the 16 June Stuart will take part in the 100km Bangor Costal Challenge Cycle. I will be putting my running shoes back on to take part in the Newtownards half marathon on the 28 June.  Then on the 28 Sept I will be competing in the North Coast off road half marathon. Three very different events, but great challenges for an amazing charity, a wonderful family and in memory of a special little boy.

Nick and Ashleigh continue to inspire us with their strength. Through their loss they have continued to show incredible courage and we are honored to continue to support them through their journey xx
