We are an amateur cricket club founded in 1850, run by volunteers for the benefit of our members and the local community. We have 7 teams playing at weekends and weekday evenings and a thriving junior section with over 200 members aged 5 to 17. We also have a welcoming and friendly social section.

Story

Leatherhead CC is an amateur cricket club founded in 1850, run by volunteers for the benefit of members and the local community. As a recipient of a London Marathon charitable grant, we were invited to nominate someone from the club to apply for a limited anniversary place. The aim is to encourage others to be active and we were really fortunate that Louise, one of our club welfare officers was awarded a place. Louise is a keen runner and is a run leader and Chairperson of Mole Valley Runners. London Marathon 2018 was her very first marathon, and this year she’s hoping to run 12 marathons in 12 months, with London being number 12. So far, she’s completed 6 marathons this year, although she’s missed a month due to injury but she’s back out running again. Often seen with a running backpack, eating sausage rolls and enjoying a bit of walking during the run, it’s not about speed, it’s all about being outdoors with friends having a great time. Louise is also a keen fundraiser for Teenage Cancer Trust and has helped raise over £50,000 so far.
