The Kirkwood exists to improve the quality of life for local people, against all odds. We help those in our care to live well and make the most of every single day. We make the complex simple by focusing on what's important, and we support families and loved ones to live on and live well.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My dear friend Emma sadly passed away 16 months ago, after fighting breast cancer for 2 years. Em was a wonderful friend and a beautiful lady inside and out.... We all miss her dearly.  The hospice gave Em's wonderful family and young children special memories and support at an incredibly difficult time.

Edinburgh was Em's favourite city and it needed to be something big for this lady so 26.2 miles it is.... I also roped Jeff( Em's husband) in and my friend Angela so Edinburgh here we come.... Training is tough but I'll grit my teeth and push on with Em always in my thoughts......Please support this wonderful place, thank you for reading xxx
