Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A lot of people attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro once in their lifetime, not many opt for twice within the year!! So the beach holiday has been put on hold and the winter woolies packed for another wee trek up Africa's highest mountain.. Foolish perhaps, but it is an amazing experience, one I'm keen to share once again with like-minded friends!

At 5,895m, altitude sickness can be a major drawback and just because I had no major side effects last year, doesn't mean it won't happen this time. So if I can cope with the pounding headache, nausea and loss of appetite during acclimatization, all will be looking good for a 2nd summit!!

For various reasons, I have chosen to fundraise for Cancer Research UK this year! There aren't many families these days who haven't been affected in some way by this horrible disease, so any donations will help fund the research involved in the fight against cancer!
