The Rowans Hospice is somewhere very close to my heart.  My mum passed away there Boxing Day 2009, from secondary Breast Cancer, and I can't even begin to describe what wonderful care and support was provided.  Mum was in lovely surroundings and a very peaceful environment.  It was the hardest thing in the world to see someone you love so much dying, and saying goodbye to her on Christmas Day was heartbreaking, but we were left with privacy and dignity and always warmth and support from all of the staff.  It is an amazing place.
