London Winter Walk 2022 · 29 January 2022 to 30 January 2022 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

As many of you know, our Queen of the family has vascular dementia and has had for a number of years now. Although she will always be the same Mum and Grandma to us, we all see how life has changed for her and it’s hard. She hates that she struggles to remember things daily, that she can’t do what she did years ago and things that were so simple for her now are very hard 💔. We have such a good support unit around Grandma supporting her through this daily, but its not easy on anyone.

So many people are affected by this devastating illness and over the years you hear more and more about it.

I will be walking 26 miles in one day around London at the end of January 2022 🥶☔️❄️🌬 for my first Ultra Challenge.

The money raised through this Ultra Challenge will help the Alzheimer’s Society to continue to support people like Grandma, and their families, whilst offering services like Dementia Friend training, etc.

Anything you can give to help my fundraising is really appreciated. Thank you in advance for reading and supporting ❤️.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
