Story
In 2019 I committed to completing the 2020 London Marathon and Race to the Stones (a double ultra marathon 100km over two days from south Oxfordshire to Avebury Stones ) for The Maypole Project a small local charity, which helps support the mental and physical well-being of children who have complex medical needs and disabilities. Maypole relies heavily on fundraising to provide their service and I wanted to help. The pandemic impacted heavily, and disrupted all events. So, I completed the virtual London Marathon in Oct 2020, and trained for RTTS in 2021, but this was impacted by Covid restrictions, delaying it once more. So, on the 9th and 10th of July 2022 I hope to finally finish the challenge. It will be physically the toughest I have done: (31.069 miles, camping over night then 31.069miles again). Truthfully its a daunting task but its made all worth while by the support of colleagues, friends and family who have been very generous over this journey and this is one last fundraising push so all donations, contributions are welcome.
Thanks!
Louise
For friends and colleagues donating for the prize draw 'guestimating' the time we'll complete it in, please do not add gift aid to your contribution as it is not allowed. But on standard sponsorship it is!
