Story
Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising to make breakthroughs happen. Across the UK and the globe, teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for world-leading research to save and improve lives, then unite as a community at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making.
Last year the relay event raised an amazing £85,322 for Cancer Research. Our Team ‘The Jellycats’, contributed £3567 to this total. It was an emotional but amazing event to take part in, hence we are returning again this year!!
Sadly, I don’t know anyone that’s not been affected in some way by cancer, it’s close to all of our hearts. With this in mind our team will be relaying again for 24 hours solid. One teammate must be moving on the running track at all times.
We’ll be walking, running or even skipping. You name it, we’ll do it, just so we can keep moving to make sure we hit the 24 hours and raise as much as we can!
My aim is to run 4 x 10km distances plus a couple extra km at the end to cover a marathon distance. This means I’ll be running a 10km every few hours right through the night into the early hours and until 12 noon next day. So please dig deep and donate whatever you can.
By donating you are helping bring about a world where everybody can live longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer. Together we are beating cancer.
Thank you for your support. ❤️💙💜💛♥️
