Zambia Expedition · 6 March 2020

The first Zambian Expedition will see four students travel to Africa to compete in a gruelling Adventure Race, raising money for four chosen local wildlife conservation organisations, which they will visit and work with while they are there.

Story

Welcome to my page, thank you for taking the time to read this.

My name is Louise Chilver-Stainer, I’m 17. Myself and three others were selected to have an amazing opportunity to go to Zambia in December to do an intense adventure race.

We will be raising money for animal charities in Africa. The three charities are:

Lilayi Elephant Orphanage Project (Game Rangers International)

Zambian Carnivore programme

A Different Wild (Raptor Rescue)

For us to go, we need to be doing fitness training at least five days a week, so we are prepared. This must include swimming, cycling and running. The Adventure Race includes team-building, kayaking and a 100k cycle at the end, with a night camping in the wild.

My main focus is to help the three chosen organisations. We will be doing different activities to raise money, but any contribution will be appreciated.
