Story

Many of you will know that in February 2025 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After a gruelling year of chemo and a massive debulking operation I had no evidence of cancer in November.

Very annoyingly the ovarian cancer has done what it usually does and come back. With a bit of a bang this time as it blocked my bowel! 😳. As you may know, I have already lost my colon and have a stoma, Nigel, who manfully fought through this whilst in hospital and is now full of 💩 again like his name sake Farage.

I’ve restarted chemo and will be having it every 4 weeks. Even if this gets me back to no evidence of disease, it will come back. That’s what it does.

So research into this disease is really important to me and thousands of other women. That’s why this October, I'm walking 100 miles to support life-saving ovarian cancer research.

Ovarian cancer has the lowest survival rate of all gynaecological cancers, yet more than half of women are diagnosed at an advanced stage when treatment options are limited.

But together, we can change that.

By supporting my challenge, you'll help fund research that gives women the best chance of survival. From earlier diagnosis to better treatments, every step brings us closer to a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.

Thank you so much for your support, and for helping bring hope to everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
