Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Grace Dinah Monteith was the second daughter of my friend David and his wife Siobhan. Grace was born dead in May 2014. Grace died as a result of an unfortunate accident in the womb, in which part of the amniotic sack got wound around the umbilical cord. Grace Dinah would have been just a few months younger than our Dinah and I think of her often. I am running this race in her memory.

It is only since having children that i have become aware of the frequency by which my friends have lost children to miscarriage and stillbirth.
Tommy's fund research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. They believe it is unacceptable that *one in four women* lose a baby during pregnancy and birth and want every parent to have the best possible pregnancy outcomes and to take home happy, healthy babies.
When I heard Tommy's was organising the London Half Marathon, I knew I had to run and couldn't think of a better charity to run for.
So please, help me reach my fundraising goal by donating what you can, or even just coming to cheer me along.
Because I hope that what I can raise can prevent a death of a child or help a family in a time of need.
