Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

We are continuing to raise awareness and funds by celebrating 'Wear a Hat day'. Do have some fun and spread news of this worthy and important cause which tragically took away our dear Louise. See below about what an amazing person Louise was...

We are walking in memory of Louise Simonsen to raise money for the Brain Tumour Research charity

Lou was a devoted mother of two, a supportive partner, thoughtful friend, inspiring colleague and a generous and compassionate spirit that was diagnosed in November 2018 with a terminal brain tumour at just 41 years old. Sadly she passed away in August 2019 on her wedding day.

She worked tirelessly in her own time to raise awareness and organise clothes collections and shipments for refugees, worked with passion for street homeless, (winning awards for her work) supported the charity work for street children in India 'Stepping Stones' and was an active camapigner and role model around green causes and women's rights.

Modest through and through, she fought to have her symptoms taken seriously, and we walk to raise awareness of a rare but devastating form of cancer that affects more children and adults under 40 than any other, but yet receives only 1% of the national spend on research.

A true Viking warrioress who dedicated her life to those who couldn't fight themselves - your donation will build on her incredible legacy.
