Myself (Jade) and my sister (Katie) will be looking at completing the South Downs 100K Challenge in Memory of our Mother who sadly passed away after a brief fight with Cancer. The event is due to take place on 29th August and we'll be doing the 100k continuous, we'll be setting a target time of 16 hours! (quite a challenge for us two!)

The hospice was so important to Mum as it is now for us. They provided Mum with tremendous bereavement support when she lost her Mother and they also supported and cared for her, and our family; Dad, Myself, Katie, Reece and Brandon (pictured), when she came into the hospice as her condition deteriorated. We couldn't be anymore thankful for the professionalism from all staff but also the compassion and love, diligence and care during such a traumatic time for the whole family. We knew she was in the best place.

St.Wilfreds Hospice is a non-profit organisation that provides people with the best end of life care. Without generous donations or support from others the hospice quite simply wouldn't be able to provide the excellent service like we had experienced.

This challenge won't be the first 100K for Myself or Katie, however it has a lot more gravity surrounding it, we're doing this for the hospice but also for our Mum. We remain forever grateful to have had such an amazing Mother and now it's time to continue her legacy and do good for people not as fortunate as us and for those who desperately need the support. Every little helps!
