Story
Welcome to my big 4-0 birthday fundraiser!
As many of you know, I am a proud cat mama to 7 rescue kids: Megan, Ollie, Ralph, Henry, Nelly, Bob and Minnie.
We have seen first hand the joy rescuing can bring but also the hard work rescues do. COVID-19 not only affected all our lives but also those of rescues. A lot closed their doors to new rescues and sadly some believed the virus could be transmitted to them via animals (which is not the case!) and the strain on those rescues who remained open increased ten fold. The New Moon Rescue - TNR is one of those.
The New Moon Rescue’s purpose is to rescue stray, feral and colony cats. They are a strict no kill rescue. All cats are microchip checked and when possible returned to owners, when not, they are rehomed after a vet check, microchip and neutering. Many cats need operations and long term vet care, x-rays, blood tests and time to recover and socialise after the trauma of being lost or abandoned. Recently they have seen a number of cats with shocking wounds requiring life saving treatment and care.
Turning 40 is a big milestone in someone’s life and I want to use it to raise money for the New Moon Rescue. I don’t want gifts, stuff I likely store and get rid off a few years later. I have everything I could wish for.
When you donate, unless you choose to remain anonymous, please make sure to include your social media handle. We will draw the winners of our amazing prizes with another cat castle live on the 5th of September!
Any donation is appreciated so, so much! I have first hand experience of the work the New Moon Rescue does with the help of their army of volunteers and fosters and they are not government funded.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
