Ummah Welfare Trust was founded in 2001 with the goal of challenging the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

Assalamu Alaykum!

As part of GIVE Week 2021, LSE ISoc is fundraising to sponsor orphans in keeping with our theme of sadaqah jariyah. 

The Prophet pbuh said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,“ and he held his two fingers together to illustrate. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
