Why do I give to MSSPA's Buy-A-Bale campaign? I give because I know that horses shouldn't look the way Violet did when she was rescued from extreme neglect. With her bones all too visible beneath her sun-bleached coat, with split hooves, parasites, and painful sores, Violet had endured the sort of treatment that no animal should experience. I give because I know the difference the hay makes. Just $5 can feed a horse for a day, allowing horses like Violet to live comfortable, happy lives once again. I give because I love animals and have an extra soft heart for horses and donkeys and mules. I give because I've visited the shelter, seen the staff and volunteers at work, served as a volunteer, met many horses like Violet, and seen my gifts in action.
