In memory of James Walker
In September 2019, our much-loved friend and colleague James Walker passed away at the age of 38. The James Walker Legacy Award has been set up to create a lasting legacy in his name to benefit NFTS graduate screenwriters and producers.

Story

On Friday 10 September, the Lee & Thompson team will be donning hiking boots and trekking over 30km in one day to raise funds for the James Walker Legacy Award, our Charity of the Year.

In September 2019 we lost our much-loved friend and colleague, James Walker, who passed away aged just 38. With the support of James’ family, we established "The James Walker Legacy Award" in 2020 together with the NFTS to commemorate James and create a lasting legacy in his name.  The Award provides financial support and mentorship to aspiring screenwriters and producers once they have graduated from the NFTS.

This group of 26 will be attempting a lengthy trek along the South Downs, gaining 750m in height.  For most of us, it will be an arduous feat unlike anything we have attempted before. We're hoping for gorgeous early Autumn sunshine rather than a blustery September day!

By sponsoring the L&T trekking group, you will be supporting a worthy cause in memory of a wonderful person.
