I am walking the 127-mile length of the Liverpool to Leeds canal to raise money to build a maternity clinic in Uganda.

As pastor of New life Church in Radcliffe, and part of PfJ Ministries, I am excited to be undertaking a challenge which will result in a better quality of life for parents and their children in Buwasunguyi: a community in Uganda with which we have a long-standing relationship.

The community of Buwasunguyi is surrounded by the spectacular slopes of Mount Elgon (see photo below) but the beauty belies the fact that daily life is incredibly difficult in a locality where there is neither running water nor electricity. In 2008, PfJ opened a health centre that has seen hundreds of lives saved and we are now turning our attention to the care of pregnant women and their babies. To this end, we are building a maternity clinic which will see lives saved and the most vulnerable cared for. Please give generously. Thank you for your support!
