We are raising funds for a new facility supporting the rehabilitation of injured swans within the Thames Valley and surrounding areas, including an intensive care unit, state-of-the-art treatment room, outdoor pens, community meeting area and office.

Story

Swan Support are a charity that rescue and rehabilitate Swans within the Thames Valley and surrounding areas. They operate 24/7 and its run entirely by volunteers and solely reliant on public donations. Last year they attended to circa. 1500 rescues. The charity is also extremely passionate about educating the public on the detrimental effect human behaviour can have on swans and other water birds. The charity is currently operating from a temporary base and having recently been offered a permanent location, they need help building a centre with an intensive care area, a meeting space to help engage with the local community and pens for the swans who are recovering from injury. The site will also be used for training of organisations who may need to know how to handle swans to ensure the safety of the bird and general public. It will mean that Swan Support can continue their amazing work and help to rescue even more swans and water fowl.
