They said it couldn't be done! In 2017 SpecialEffect broke the record for the Biggest Ever team in the British 10K with over 100 runners! Then in 2018 we hit 125! Can we do it again in 2019? Come on let's smash it for SpecialEffect!

Story

The British 10K is SpecialEffect's longest standing fundraising event, and back in the day a hard core of games industry professionals made something of a name for themselves by completing the race dressed as their favourite video games characters - a tradition that has continued to this day! One thing that has changed is the size of the team, which in the last few years has grown to over 100 runners. In fact, in 2017 SpecialEffect won the Biggest Charity Team Award not bad for a small charity from West Oxfordshire! But the main thing is that over the years the money raised by the British 10k team has enabled the charity to help literally hundreds more seriously disabled people to enjoy access to video games. It really is no exaggeration to say that this is the central race in the SpecialEffects events calendar.
