I'm running the Brighton 10K for Dementia UK!
About me
My name is Luca Soldera and a couple of years ago I came across dementia, as my grandmother started being forgetful. Unfortunately, at this time she is not able to recognise me, but at least she can still communicate well.
After seeing how dementia affected my grandmother's life, together with my co-founders Federico A. and Federico G. we started building DeepVibes at Techstars (one of the best accelerators in the world). DeepVibes is a solution to help people with dementia and their families. You can read more about it on https://deepvibes.ai.
2021 wasn't only the year when we started building Deep Vibes, but also the year when I started running. At the beginning of 2022, I've set a goal for myself to run my first 10k race and my first half marathon. I've decided that my first time will be by supporting Dementia.
My colleagues and friends will also be in Brighton supporting me and the dementia cause! Come and join us.
About Dementia UK
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
