The Scottish SPCA rescue, rehabilitate, release, and rehome Scotland's animals. We educate people about the welfare of animals in our mission to eradicate animal cruelty. We investigate abuse across Scotland and bring those who abuse animals to justice. We are Scotland’s animal champions.

Story

Hello!

My name is Lucas Fitzpatrick and I am 4 years old. I will be taking part in the kids 1k event in the Edinburgh Marathon on 26th May 2018 to raise money for Scottish SPCA.

I love all types of animals (especially gran and grandad’s 5 dogs!) and after visiting the SSPCA rehoming centre I told my mum I was very sad that the animals didn’t have owners and asked if we could take them all home to live with us but mum said we didn’t have enough room to keep them all (she’s no fun!).

I wanted to do something to make the animals happy so my mum suggested I try to raise some money to help the charity in caring for and finding new owners for the animals.

I am really excited to take part in the event and I would be really happy if you could sponsor me so I can help all the pets at SSPCA be happy until their new owners arrive.
Thank you!
