Towards the end of last year, James and I
decided it would be a great idea to do our first triathlon so we signed up to
the Blenheim Palace triathlon on June 8th of this year. As the time
approached, ever more rapidly, we began to have second thoughts and were
considering not bothering.
However, on the 31st March my grandad Ken sadly lost his 3 year long battle with cancer. At that point we decided that we had to see it through in his honour and instead of just doing it for fun we would raise as much as we possibly could for The Princess Alice Hospice that had offered such great support to my family.
The Princess Alice Hospice were always there when my grandad was having a bad night or my nan needed a bit of a rest. They played an integral part in allowing him to see out his final days with dignity and in the comfort of his own home. This was something that was very important to him and would probably not have been possible without the help provided by The Princess Alice Hospice nurses and support staff.
Please give generously to help continue the work by this great charity.
