In 2019 I lost my dad to suicide, the headlight project provided me and my family with 1-1 counselling which helped me to be who I am today. By raising funds for the charity it helps me to help others like me as I know how valuable the services are that they offer. I also attended their headlight hub and met other people who lost others to suicide giving me a safe place to talk and remember my dad.
Founded in memory of Russ Devereux, the Headlight Project aims to reduce the number of deaths by suicide in the Teesside area, by providing therapeutic support to families who have suffered a traumatic bereavement, delivering workshops in schools and suicide prevention training to the local community.Headlight Project A guiding light when the road ahead is dark
