Showing Our Support for Luce Day · 3 February 2018

Our mission is to bring together the leukaemia community so we can find and fund the life-changing research that matters most. Together we can stop leukaemia devastating lives through research, awareness and advocacy.

Story

Lucille Rollinson, the mother of Glasshoughton Welfare winger Connor and Worsbrough Bridge youngster Calan, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in October. She has endured three intense rounds of chemotherapy and is now waiting to have her bone marrow transplant as a match has been found.

Worsbrough Bridge are due to host Glasshoughton Welfare on Saturday (10th February) and the two clubs and Lucille's family have decided to turn it into a support day. They also want to raise awareness of the symptoms for AML.

Bucket collections for Leukaemia UK, and players wearing t-shirts displaying ‘Showing Our Support for Luce’ during the warm-up are notable aspects of the planned day.

This page has been set up on the family's behalf for those would like to contribute to Lucille's chosen charity, Leukaemia UK,, but cannot attend the fixture.

Or if you have been touched by her story, please use this page to donate.
