My name is Lucinda Direk.

In May 2023 I will be running half a Marathon in Central Park New York for the J-A-C-K's (Joining Against Cancer In Kids) Foundation. I will also be visiting a children's hospital to visit some of the children/families affected by Neuroblastoma. The J-A-C-K's Foundation raises money for children with Neuroblastoma Cancer. Neuroblastoma is an aggressive childhood cancer that affects over 100 children a year in the UK. The Foundation was set up during Jack Brown's fight against Neuroblastoma. Unfortunately, Jack lost his battle to this awful disease at the age of just 7.

Neuroblastoma cancer is something very close to my heart and has been for many years. Six years ago, I met a very special family whose daughter was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at just 11 months old. A year later the family were told their daughter needed lifesaving treatment which was only available in New York. The family were able to raise the funds to go to New York for this treatment which saved their daughter's life.

All the money raised through this page will go directly to the J-A-C-K's Foundation.
