I lost my wonderful Grandad in April of last year. He was the light in mine and my family’s life, a true gentleman, and our world was rocked by losing him. During the last few months of his life he was cared for by the incredible Ellenor Hospice. He was an extremely proud man and wanted the dignity of being in his own home (where he had lived for 60 years and did everything in, from fitting the central heating to hanging the wallpaper in every room!) during the end of his life. The Ellenor made this possible and not just this, really, they cared for all of us as well.

It blew my mind that a charity could provide this kind of support and I knew I had to do something to give them back, even a fraction, of the support they gave us. I therefore decided to run the London Marathon for them and raise as much as I can, so they can continue to give other families the support they gave us (please note here … I am not an athlete… I sometimes run to grab the glasses when the prosecco cork pops… so this is no easy task for me!).

Any donation big or small, will go towards helping this amazing hospice to keep doing what they are doing.
