Story
My family is grateful to Community First Responders Armagh & Tyrone (CFRAT) who attended Aidan whilst waiting on an ambulance and battled to save his life in December 2019. Just over a year later they attended me also in a medical emergency whilst waiting for an ambulance crew to arrive. My family and I would like to show our appreciation and gratitude to this organisation by holding a fundraising event for CFRAT, which due to COVID restrictions has been delayed until now.
The invaluable service is provided by members of the local community who volunteer, are trained with the necessary skills and are available to attend you are in a medical emergency. A Community First Responder is usually the first qualified person to attend the emergency scene. Funds raised will be used to train and equip more First Responders in the community so that you are never far from help when you most need it.
