Not an elaborate swerve to get out of the ‘bedtime dance’ at home (!) but a heartfelt plea to raise funds for a charity that’s very close to me. I couldn’t imagine not having a place to call home or a roof over our heads and sadly that’s the reality for so many…….& likely to increase with the crisis we’re facing at the moment with unprecedented costs of living. I used to volunteer for ‘Crisis at Christmas’ and having not been able to do so for a while I wanted to give back sooner than December and sleep out on the 7th October - any amount you could donate would be so appreciated and gratefully received by the Charity.

Glass Door runs London’s largest emergency winter night shelter network, providing a safe, warm place to sleep for up to 170 men and women a night in partnership with churches across West London. Year-round, men and women with nowhere else to turn can find drop-in centres during the day and the support they need to end their homelessness. Glass Door night shelters save lives, and the support services help change lives.
