I am hoping to raise money for Wakefield hospice in recognition of the support they provide to terminally ill patients. Unfortunately, my coach lost his wife to cancer recently and from what I've heard Wakefield Hospice provided her with second to non care in her final hours. It takes an exceptional sort of person to want to care for someone terminally ill. These sort of people are salt of the earth people, who give their patient's the dignity and compassion they deserve, ensuring their final days are made as comfortable and peaceful as possible. Remember, these people chose to be in this profession and that in itself is an amazing thing.  Death is not an easy, but without these natural carers the process would be hundred times worse for the family involved. So back to why I chose to help.....I haven't known my coach for very long, but he has already made a huge impact in my life. He is one of the nicest people I have had the privledge to meet, and I am honoured to learn from such a knowledgeable man. I owe a huge thank you to the person who suggested I train with him, because when I'm around him he makes me believe in ME, something which I have struggled with in the past. He's the type of person who makes a dull day feel like a bright one. From what I know of him he's always helping others. I think its important that people recognise this and do something for him and the memory of his wife. The loss of a loved one is unimaginable, but lets all pull together for such a fantastic cause and help raise money to keep this hospice running and making a difference for our loved ones final hours.

All help would mean the world to me. Thank you in advance. Love Lucy x
