Let's Get Rid of Rabies
Campaign by WECare Worldwide (RCN 1162386)
Despite ongoing government and NGO vaccination programmes, we are seeing more rabies cases than ever in our area. Just last week we saw 4 cases which is unprecedented. Rabies is 100% fatal but ENTIRELY PREVENTABLE.

Story

Rabies is 100% PREVENTABLE with thorough vaccination programmes! It is an awful disease which affects both the animal and human populations here in Sri Lanka and it is fatal in 100% of cases if left untreated. It is crucial that we get on top of rabies on the island, as many lives are being lost and it is totally unnecessary. With one vaccination, costing just under £1, we can protect an animal from rabies for 1-3 years and work towards complete eradication in Sri Lanka. This is very do-able for many reasons, one being that we are an island so have clear borders! We just need a little help with funding and we can start the programme tomorrow! Please help if you can!
