Story

Hey!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I set myself a goal this year to run an ultra marathon (my first ever one and anything over 25k), and I thought to myself, I don't just want to go for a 50km, if i'm going to do it I am going all out! So here we are... 100km on the 9th July to raise money for Breast Cancer Now.

I am doing this for my nan and auntie who are breast cancer survivors and in memory of our beautiful Nicky who sadly passed away in 2021.

Almost 9 in 10 (85%) of women survive breast cancer for five years or more. Plus, breast cancer survival is improving and has doubled in the past 40 years in the UK due to a combination of improvements in treatment and care, earlier detection through screening and a focus on targets, including faster diagnosis! An estimated 600,000 people are alive in the UK after a diagnosis of breast cancer. This is predicted to rise to 1.2 million in 2030.

I hope to raise as much as I can to support an incredible charity.

Thank you!

P.s. Bring on the training!
