Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

For sponsor page -
Dear Friends and Family on Friday 5th June 2015, I am attempting to do a Sky Dive !! This is to raise money for "Aspire" a fantastic charity that supports people who have suffered spinal injuries.
15 years ago I met a lovely family in Keston and we have been friends ever since. I used to babysit the boys and years later taught them both to drive and the eldest Harry worked in our pub for a while before he went off to Uni.
Unfortunately in March Harry suffered a horrendous spinal injury whilst playing rugby for his university team. He underwent major surgery and is currently at the RNOH at Stanmore undergoing a lengthy rehabilitation programme. Although I am terrified of the thought of Sky Diving I have been so inspired by Harry bravery that I wanted to do something - so I am facing my fear of flying, diving, heights, claustrophobia and everything else!!! to raise money for Aspire and show Harry how proud I am of him.
Please donated whatever you can afford to this fantastic charity and to put me in the the position where I can't chicken out!!!! Many thanks Lucy xx
