In the summer I am doing an event called
Dash to Dubrovnik which is partnered with Amnesty UK.

Dash to Dubrovnik is an “Epic Journey” from Dover to Dubrovnik in which we’ll cover 12 countries in 8 days in a car which costs less that £500, having our very own ‘Grand Tour’ experience. We will have the opportunity to experience some amazing sights like the Alps and Lake Garda as well as multiple inevitable breakdowns which we’ll have to fix ourselves or be left trying to converse with foreign mechanics!

Before we set off we are all raising £700 for Amnesty UK through various methods such as bake sales, sponsored runs and begging family for money. To raise the money I am hoping to climb my first ever mountain (as someone who’s biggest walk is at work from my desk to the canteen, approx. 100m), stand in London all day with a Amnesty bucket as well as clean cars and walk dogs.

Deep-seated discrimination and social traditions often set unequal power relations between men and women. And some human rights will be denied to a woman on a daily basis (access to education or healthcare) creating multiple obstacles women face over and over again.

Human Rights in Ukraine - the invasion of Ukraine is a shameful and illegal act that has led to countless human rights abuses. They are working to document and verify these crimes and are calling on the UK and other countries in Europe to do more for refugees fleeing human rights abuses.

These are just a few cases of their essential human rights work they do in the UK. By raising funds for Amnesty International UK you will be helping ensure they can continue to carry out this vital work.
