I'm Lucy and this spring I am hoping to complete Bath Half Marathon to raise money for Hannah's Willberry Wonder Pony. If you are from an equestrian background you will likely be familiar with Hannah and Willberry, and probably donated generously many times before (thank you so much!). If the charity is new to you please follow the link https://www.willberrywonderpony.org to learn more and maybe read some of Hannah's blog posts written during her battle with osteosarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. 

Even though Hannah is no longer with us her legacy lives on and the charity continues to make dreams come true by providing "Willberry's Wishes" for seriously ill people, and fully funding 5 PhD and 1 Post-Doc researchers at Universities across the country.

Many of you supported me first time round in 2017 when I raised nearly £600 for the charity running my first ever half marathon, thank you so much, every step of that race was a pleasure. This time it's going to be so much harder. I'm 6 years older and a stone heavier. I also appreciate spare cash is non-existent thanks to the pandemic so every donation is so very appreciated. My target of £250 feels ambitious as does the 13.1 miles.... 

Training for this is feeling daunting. As I write race day is less than 10 weeks away and the furthest I've run is 3km. I planned to start training a few weeks ago but COVID rained off plans yet again, so we are starting here.  Yikes. 

I am so determined to get this done and raise some money for Hannah and Willberry's wonderful charity.
