Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Pancreatic cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer death in the UK. Yet the amount spent on pancreatic cancer research, including early detection, accounts for only one hundredth (1%) of the total cancer research spend. We are calling for more to be spent on pancreatic cancer research through our Campaign for Hope. - See more at: http://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/information-and-support/facts-about-pancreatic-cancer/screening-for-pancreatic-cancer/#sthash.HxVUeJGp.dpuf

I had fantastic support for my first Marathon last year.  I am still keen to continue to raise awareness and funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK, in loving memory of Gillian Rees. Pancreatic Cancer UK is a small but very worthwhile charity and to represent it again is a great privilege. I am hoping to reach out to new donors this year by putting on a couple of other events as well so watch this space!

Please help by giving generously to Pancreatic Cancer UK this year. Here's what fundraising achieved in 2014, with Marathon running sponsorship raising over £270k..
