"Considering the fact it kills more people than any other cancer, lung cancer research is shockingly underfunded"
The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is currently researching ways to detect Lung Cancer at an earlier stage. This means that patients can be treated and cured. Around 41,500 new cases are diagnosed each year but only 30% will live for a year after diagnosis. This can be increased if patients are diagnosed earlier.
It is a common thought that lung Cancer is associated to Smoking. However research shows that 10% of patients with Lung Cancer have never smoked before. The results of this research is very close to home, so me and my brothers want to contribute to the amazing research that is being carried out by The Roy Castle Foundation.
During the August Bank Holiday Me, Ryan and Scott are doing The Three Peaks Challenge.....This Challenge involves walking mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. It is easy to get lost, particularly when mountains need to be climbed in poor weather or in the DARK......
