We empower people who are visually impaired to succeed in a sighted world

Story

RNC is an incredibly important charity. There is nobody else providing the support and opportunities that the College does. Every piece of independent research shows that support for young people with visual impairments is disappearing across the country as the cuts bite in. It's a low incidence condition so most people won't see the impact, and if there are only a handful of you in each county it's incredibly hard to get your voice heard - making it an easy target for those trying to make savings.

When I started at RNC there were several specialist colleges for young people with VI. We're the only one now. And it's getting harder every day. Without fundraising it's going to be impossible.

So please, rather than buying me a gift, consider making a donation to the old homestead. It's a truly amazing place, and it's no exaggeration to say that it changes lives. Have a look at our website for some of the student's stories. I've started you off with one written by a student because it covers so many of the things that matter - everyday stuff that we all take for granted but that makes all the difference in the world: https://bit.ly/2RrhJzN.

Please also consider ticking the Gift Aid box because for every £1 you donate we'll get an extra 25p from the government, and frankly it's about time we got something.

Thank you xxx
