I’m running the London Marathon 2018 in memory of my Dad who passed away last year. We didn’t know for several months what caused it but they finally diagnosed it as Cardiomyopathy. I hadn’t heard it of it before but found out it was a hereditary condition that can appear at any time. Dad ran 11 marathons and so many other races all over the place and was what he loved to do more than anything. He’d never had any problems, never went to the doctors and was one of the healthiest people I know. This is why I think the work this charity do is so important. Not many people know about the condition and it often appears in young, fit people. More research needs to go into finding out ways to notice it sooner and the ways to help prevent it. That’s why I’m so honoured to be able to raise money for this great charity and in memory of my amazing Dad, who without him I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing now! So if there’s anything you can donate, even if it’s only a couple of pounds I would really really appreciate it and know it would be going to such a worthwhile charity. Thank you in advance!!!
