Lucys marathon attempt

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since starting running just over 4 years ago, it has provided me a safe space to stay fit, free from judgement and most importantly it’s kept my mind healthy.
When having my son just over 2 years ago this all changed, I found myself in a place where I was unable to go for a run to clear my mind and to escape, I was lost and life felt dark - I didn’t have the tools to understand the way I was feeling.
My midwife (thank goodness for her) advised me to look into a group called ‘Mummy Shock’ - a 10 week therapeutic postnatal group for mums and their babies. I signed up straight away. Now, I am not being dramatic when I say this group changed my life, it saved me, at a time when my world had been flipped upside down, Ellen and her team are the most lovely people in the world and the friends I made at mummy shock are some of the most important and vital people in my life - constantly whatsapping and sharing the struggles and joys of motherhood.
I want to give something back to this wonderful charity who helped me get through those dark early days of change and help them to help as many mums as possible who are also feeling lost/confused or just need a safe space to talk.
