Lewis and Lucys 100 miles for Sweet Williams Legacy x

In May 2020, Harry, Mairead, and their two three-year-old twin boys were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newest member of their family, William. Mairead went in for her a routine check-up at 36 weeks and got told the terrible news that no parent should ever have to hear; their little boy was going to be born sleeping. We are not parents, so we could not even begin to imagine the pain the family felt, but as a Williams godparents, our hearts shattered. We did not know what to say, how to comfort them, or just how to navigate this in general. We just committed to being whatever they needed or wanted us to be during the coming months & years. We always knew they were a strong family, but this past year we really got a glimpse of how strong they are.
Not long after he passed, Harry & Mairead set up a GoFundMe page in honour of William where they aimed to raise money for families who would tragically end up in the same nightmare that they found themselves in. The donations came flying in! A true testament to how loved this family and their beautiful little boy are. They quickly raised enough money to purchase both a cuddle cot and a cold cot for hospitals in need. These ensured that bereaving parents would be able to spend quality time with their baby.
They did not stop there – they continued raising money, spreading awareness, and providing support to members of the community. This ultimately led to the development of their charity, Sweet Williams Legacy. Harry & Mairead have inspired us (to say the least) and now we want to do our part and so we have decided to run 50 miles each (100 total) in July to raise awareness for this incredible organisation.
We are so excited to take this on and cannot wait to get started! Please help us keep Williams legacy alive by donating and/or spreading the word! The bigger the word, the more people it reaches & the more lives they can help.
Keep shining bright William, your Fairy Godparents love you so so much xx
