This weekend I'll be taking part in a Sprint Triathlon; 400m open water swim, 20 km bike ride and 5 km run...and I've just found out from the organisers that for the first time in 18 years of holding the event wet suits are banned - because according to the rules, the balmy water temperature of 23.5 degrees C does not require them!! This may impact on my objective to beat my personal best at this event of 1 hour, 19 minutes and 36 seconds!

I am competing this year to raise money for a charity close to my heart, Candover Valley Pre-School (CVP) where both my boys have attended. CVP is a registered charity; Government funding just about covers the main bills of wages and lease of the building. However, all extras like books, crafts, equipment, computers, trips out or bringing visitors in.......the things that make the childrens day fun ,exciting......and wanting them to go back for more and more....is all provided by a dedicated team of fundraising Mums, Dads and staff.

Last year the pre-school achieved 'Outstanding' in it's Ofsted inspection. This was a massive tribute to the dedicated team of staff that make the pre-school the safe, loving and exciting environment that it is. I trusted my two boys with them. They loved it. That says it all. Please put your hands in your pockets to help me raise money for this pre-school that provides an incredible resource for our children......but only with our fund raising efforts.
