Story
Action for Children are a fantastic charity created to help vulnerable children and young people and their families in the UK and Harvey Nash have partnered with Action for Children for over 14 years. You can read more about the charity here - . This charity needs our help now more than ever as the cost of living crisis is pushing more children into poverty. With this in mind, we have chosen to take part in not one, but two fundraising events this year:
1 - Seven Hills of Edinburgh Trek
2 - Boycott Your Bed
Seven Hills of Edinburgh Trek
On 30th September, we as a team are completing the Seven Hills of Edinburgh. We will be starting at Corstorphine Hill then head to Craiglockhart Hill, followed by Blackford Hill then the Braids, Edinburgh Castle, Arthurs Seat and we will finish at Calton Hill.
Boycott Your Bed
On 7th October, a community of people will be taking on the challenge of sleeping out to support vulnerable children across the UK. Right now, there are 3.9 million UK children in poverty. Home isn't the loving place it’s supposed to be. And with the cost of living crisis spiralling out of control, they’re even more vulnerable. Tonight, children all over the UK will go to sleep hungry. Some of these children don't even have a warm bed to climb into. Action for Children make sure children have the basics - like warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed. They offer the right mental health support, so children thrive. And provide protection and recovery to child victims of abuse and neglect. Please help us raise vital funds to help a vulnerable child's dreams of a safe and happy childhood come true. £40 could pay for gas and electricity for a family for a week, £50 could buy clothes and shoes for a child, £100 could provide a child with a bed and £200 could provide a family with a cooker .
Any donations you can make to this incredible cause are much appreciated.
We will be sure to upload pictures of our events and keep you all updated with our progress!!
Thank you,
Lucy & Team Harvey Nash
