Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. On January 9th 2011 I ran 26.2 miles around Disney World, Orlando, Florida to encourage you to please sponsor me to help raise much needed funds for a brand new school in Sri Lanka. It was crazy fun, quite painful towards the end but totally worth every step for the school project.

The school which opened on January 10th is a new initiative in a poor region of Sri Lanka.  We aim to sponsor around 80 children through a high quality education and to provide training for young women from this community to qualify as teachers/teaching assistants. So far the school has begun with huge success although many of the children have never seen books or puzzles before.

The school cannot continue without funding. Thank you so much for the support so far and to everyone who has helped us to open the school We see it becoming a template school for future education in Sri Lanka.
