My lovely grandad bill age 76 was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. Life was ok until he suddenly and rapidly deteriorated at the end of last year. He lost the use of his left side which made him unable to walk. He became agitated, aggressive and vulnerable. This was so not my grandad anymore. He was so confused and forgetful
Dementia is a cruel disease for both the patients and the family.
This is close to my heart as I live in hope that there will be a cure for Dementia one day and people will no longer have to suffer in the way my grandad has.
