Hi guys,

In September 2012 my family lost my mum to breast cancer. I'm forever grateful that the staff at Pilgrims made my mum's last three weeks as comfortable as possible, and they are in desperate need of funds to be continue to provide this level of care to other families.

They set my dad up in the hospice for three weeks so he could be with my mum, and the friendly smiling faces, compassion, and endless supply of biscuits, tea, and hugs deserve more appreciation than we could ever show them. They went the extra mile for us, so now it looks like I'll be 'running'* 13.1 miles for them! 

We all know I don't even run for the bus, my nickname isn't Fat Daft Alice for nothing. 

 *probably crying like a bitch eating doughnuts and trying to see if I can get Uber to pick me up.
