Story
I started running 10 years ago (to get higher grades in PE, no joke) and since then it has become a weekly habit to de-stress, clear my mind but also challenge myself. When my father ran his first marathon, I felt really inspired and decided that I would run one myself one day! After all, if he could do it in his forties there is no reason why I would not be able to, right? Well, here we are...
On 26th September I will be running the Robin Hood Half Marathon in Nottingham. I have decided to use this as an opportunity to raise money for a cause that is close to my heart, the fight against Alzheimer's disease. I have seen the effects of this disease on family members, on relatives affected by it but also on their carers. My grandmother now lives with dementia, and although she is lucky that my grandfather is healthy enough to care for the both of them at home, not everyone is as fortunate.
If you have a couple of pounds to spare, I would really appreciate it if you would consider donating to support the work of the Alzheimer's Society.
Thank you!
